Horses, a Spider and big truck...oh my!

Kentucky was amazing!

From Friday to Tuesday we talked (about the past, present and future), laughed (at and with each other), ate (a lot of culinary delights), drank (a lot of tasty drinks), shopped (My MIL has some mad shopping skills :), swam (in a wonderfully warm pool) and.....loved every minute of it. I feel very fortunate to have such kind and caring in-laws. I'm trying to figure out how to say what's on my mind and in my heart....here's what I came up with.

After 20 years of marriage my father and mother in-law continue to show love and respect towards each other. They are a great example for a couple who are still finding their way in life...like my husband and I. Although, it may be months between visits we still feel close to them. Time might pass, but the love doesn't fade.

Thank you doesn't cover it....Until next time. XXOO

We also got to spend time with a young man who is dear to my husband and I....the one in the big white truck. From a little guy who use to scare me with snakes to a solider fighting for our freedom. You're loved....by us~

Sweaty...and it's not Pretty!

(photo taken on vacation)
We're back from an unforgettably fantastic vacation to my in-laws house in Kentucky.

Unfortunately, it is too hot to expend any energy outside of breathing due to the 90+ degree heat coupled with the 1000 percent humidity. I've attached blotting paper to my entire body and hooked up an IV for the next few days...this might cause my typing skills to fall to a below normal speed. Bare with me.

I will find air conditioning tomorrow and loiter, so I can write a post.
What's the weather like at your house?
Are you in the comforts of air conditioning?
What are you doing to stay cool?

Rabbit Ears and a Maple Leaf

As we pack our bags for Lexington,KY we salute the flag before us here in Canada. It just doesn't feel the same. It's like being invited to a costume party only to find out they changed the theme and you didn't know.

4th of July in the USA.... that's more like it.
Hanging out with family, running around with sparklers until someone burns their finger, eating too much to fit into your bathing suit and dousing yourself in bug spray to watch the local firework display... that's more like it.

Just the same I've got love for ya'll in Canada...
Happy Canada Day everyone!

What are your plans for the 4th?

CSN...

a review...is coming your way!

I'll be heading to my dining room to take a seat, sip some coffee and enjoy a delicious French pastry...won't you come and sit for a while. I hate to eat alone.

Which dining room do you like best out of the three photos above?

Tuesday: The Burning Question

You and I have a standing bloggy date...
here every Tuesday for a cup of coffee and a burning question that we both answer.

Are you ready?

With questions and comments still swirling in my head I hung up the phone. Happy for the time she had taken out of her day to talk with me, my busy sister with three kids, two cats and one very large dog talked with me for.....

Who would you like to talk to for 1 hour 39 minutes and 5 seconds?

*Oh the perks of being a teacher....have a wonderful summer Mrs. V. Love ya!*

It's Up to You!

Make the decision to do something different.

See the beauty. Be in the moment. Look at it with new eyes.

A special moment can come just after a dark cloud.
(Photos taken on my hike last Saturday.Yes... I got wet, but it was worth it.)
