An Emotional Weigh In

A couple days ago I woke up with a mild case of "the wrong side of the bed". I shared that with my husband, actually I forewarned him of my state of mind. We were chatting. I was getting dressed. Then I did the unthinkable... I decided to weigh myself. As I reached for the scale that I "hid" under my dresser. At that same moment in super slow motion my husband began to jump out of bed...
"Nnnnnn-Oooooooo not the scale".

Thinking about it today makes me giggle. Why on earth did I weigh myself at that moment? I can not blame him...hearing me complain about my girth has to be annoying. This is an apology to my husband who doesn't have to worry about his weight...ever and a thank you for loving me the way I am through my thick and thin.

Do you hide your scale? Does your husband run when you pull out the scale?

Hi Ann
I can completely empathize with you. I used to only weigh myself when no one was around...now my husband reminds me that it's just a number and that how I feel and my health are more important.
You are a sweetie! Good for your hubby! xo

Sometimes I wake up in the floor!

what a great guy your hubby is; knowing that the day you got up on the wrong side of the bed is not the day to step on a scale!

I keep my scale in the dressing room. Even though it says more than I want it to I step on it on a regular basis because I don't want it to creep up more!

My scale resides in our linen closet under the pile of extra blankets we have in there. Funny enough - I just pulled mine out yesterday too. While it wasn't a pretty sight, it was better than I expected. My husband does not know I've done such a thing as weighed myself (yet)!

I don't weigh myself. I have a mirror so I know I am 'plump'! I think scales make us feel bad. There's enough of that going around so I don't add to it voluntarily.

I do hide the scale and my husband freaks when I find it. :)

hahah I love this! My husband is a personal trainer and was a college athletic so of course he is fit as a fiddle. I am not the athletic type or really that into fitness. Opposites attack in our case. I got the scale out the other day and put in front of the fridge. I got a big eye roll and sigh from my hunny.

I do not even mention that I use the scale. It is my own private (torture) time. :-)

I don't own a scale. I haven't weighed myself for along time.If I go on a diet, and lose weight then I will buy a scale. My hubby is the same way. He loves me just how I am and I don't know why some people can eat all the time and never gain any weight.
