A little Audrey

Tautou... that is!

In an article I recently read, Miss Tautou talked
about leaving acting for her Plan B.

If you were given the option for a Plan B what would you do?

I feel like I've already moved on to Plan K.
With each move I've tried something new mixed with something I've already done.
As far as the next Plan....I'm not sure. Right now, I'm still enjoying the sweetness of the bakery.

If you haven't seen any of Audrey's  films I suggest taking a little bit of "me time" today to watch one.

Have a bright~happy Sunday!

My dears...
all the change in my life has me a little behind, but you're on my mind.

I'll be back on track this week.... I promise.

Splish Splash

This is what I'm doing after my second day at work.
Add a little bubbly to the tub and my glass... then call me when dinner's ready.

I'd love to hear what you are up to.

Fear of Change

Relationships. Fashion. Career. Life.

So many people take the path right in front of them never looking to the sides.

Sport that sassy hat.

Take a dance class.
Try to paint.
Start that book that's trapped in your head.
Kiss that frog...he might end up being your prince.

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” -Maria Robinson

I can't wait to hear from you.
Have you made any changes recently?

A.m.

Just a few photos to describe my morning.... Scratch that! I'll let you conjure up the images on your own.

6:40 a.m.
The sidewalks were a sheet of ice on my walk to the bus stop. Every step needing to be calculated for slip free shoe-sidewalk contact. I arrived 30 minutes early for my first student, so I walked across the street to a restaurant. All appeared normal until the waitress walked out in stripper attire. Note to self: a room of sweaty men and mirrored girly silhouettes on the wall equals... ladies of the night serving eggs over my hammy.  Just to prove I was o.k. with being the only fully clothed female I sat at the bar, yes...the bar at 7:30 a.m. and ordered an orange juice.

My hopes for the pretty young thing walking around in 5 inch heels that early in the morning...big tips.

One photo to describe my evening....
That's more like it.... ahhhh!

Good morning...

I hope you had a nice weekend.  With below zero temperatures all weekend we nestled in and stayed warm. Saturday evening we shared a wonderful dinner with good friends at our place. It was a relaxing night with home cooking, wine and engaging conversation. It's the kind of night when they walk out the door you're already looking forward to the next time.

I declare it comfy sweater day!

Alice Swaim

Courage is not the towering oak that sees storms come and go;
it is the fragile blossom that opens in the snow.
Alice M. Swaim

Last night we had a snow storm.
This morning it took hot coffee and warm mittens to get me out the door at 7:00 a.m.
As silent bundles of both men and women traipsed past me through the snow I envisioned fragile blossoms.

Flower Power

Women who were given flowers as part of a 2005 study by researchers at Rutgers University reported elevated moods for up to three days after receiving the bouquets. Those given fruit or candles given no such change.

Put an extra dash of happiness in your life today...

or how about a friends.

Whooaaaaaa there Nellie....

My goodness. It has been a crazy week and I need pull back on the reins.

Once again, I found myself brushing my ears and cleaning my hair. I slipped and fell on the ice more than once. It's everywhere. I think it's a not so gentle reminder from Mother Nature to slow down. I hurt my bum, which in my mind is a great excuse not to workout. I guess some people will do anything to get out of going to the gym....finger pointing at myself. Then, I impaled my right breast with the remote while trying to clean beside the couch. Don't ask. It's actually too embarrassing.... All I know is that it sounded like "the dog ate my homework" excuse to my very part time personal trainer. Who in return had little compassion. I topped the Richter scale of excuses with that one. To make matter more ridiculous my boob and butt still hurts. Now, pass me my pacifier.

I had the word ridiculous in the Google box when I tapped images... here are a few photos deemed "ridiculous" ....

I'd say this is ridiculously cute.....

Have a great weekend. Feel free to share any ridiculous moment from your week.

Have you ever?

Have you ever left a message on a professional or personal
answering machine that made you sound absolutely ridiculous?
I mean so stupid you couldn't have sounded more stupid if you tried.
No, me neither.....

No seriously, I just did and I quite certain the person will not be calling me back.
That or she are playing it for everyone in the office to hear...I think I hear them cackling.

Just the idea of it makes me shudder then laugh.shudder.laugh.

Then...

I went to We Heart It to get a photo of a phone and 99% of the photos are of this

Not this....

I feel so old.
