Crafts

I'm about to start a love affair with Mod Podge Gloss
and maybe his cousin Matte.
I know, it sounds a little slutty doesn't it.

That's right, I'm going to work my craft magic. (Clearing of the throat...)
Let me rephrase that... I am going to attempt to make some simple craft items
over the next couple of days. It's snowing. work is slowing down
(nobody wants to learn English in December)and I've got the Christmas spirit.

Give me a C...give me a R....give me a A.... (snicker)

In a few weeks we are heading to our hometown and I really want to have a
craft day with my nieces. Last year at a friends house
I saw this fun card holder...
(she was in the process of moving...)
Thanks to The Shabby Chic Cottage
blog I was inspired to do this project.
Her middle name is Crafty (well it should be but I'm not really sure) , so don't compare please.

I did the same project with my own twist.

To make your own Christmas card holder you need:
clothespins
fun scrapbook paper
Mod Podge Gloss
some ribbon or string

Do you get a lot of Christmas cards?
I have received two...If you need my address just email me. (Smile)

I am definitely a fan of Mod Podge and usually favor the matte version. I'm kind of a spazz with it though and end up leaving my gooey fingerprints embedded into everything I make!

I have received 2 cards so far; many of my friends now send e-cards. And as crafting goes? I was born without the craft gene.

You're a crafty one!!! I love that. I haven't received any cards this year, but then again I didn't give anyone my new addy. lol

Have only received two cards so far this year. It will be interesting to see how many people actually stop sending them. Some people think they are an old fashioned thing to do. I happen to love going to the mailbox and finding greetings from friends and family.

You are 100% ahead of me in the Christmas card race. I've received one! And I'm sad about it too!

How cute! We received 30 cards last year and I taped them to the outside of our entryway into the dining room.

Wow your's is stunning. I did something similiar, but the clothes pins I got (online) turned out to be mico tiny! I may steal your idea and paint some for next year.

My dog Oskar is involved in a card exchange with about 75 of his blogging friends (Oskar has 2 blogs).

I have gotten SO many cards of adorable pets, it's been totally worth the amount for postage.

Hugs & love,
Mimi

That's so cute! I have only received 3 or 4 so far but I'm not complaining. I'm so far behind on doing anything for the holidays. I haven't even purchased my cards yet! :)
