Tuesday: The Burning Question

If you could change your name... what would it be?

Me: I would like a name that whenever my mom said it,
it would make her remember a special place or thing she loves.
(Thankfully, my mom isn't a Unicorn lover.)

Was it difficult to name your children? Why did you choose the name(s)?

Your turn.

Falling...

Mother Nature is waving her wand.

For the last few days I have been walking down denial alley with frozen toes. I'm not ready to shove my piggies into shoes.

I tried a peep toe heel today. I was cold and felt a bit ridiculous...like I was wearing white after Labor Day. (I don't really care about that fashion rule...especially after finding the comfiest white linen Calvin Klein pants on clearance.)

Now, I look to fashion (on a budget) to ease me into the Fall season.
Don't get me wrong... I LOVE FALL. It's just a hard transition because I love me some flip-flops.

All of these photos are from Vogue.com 100 Under $100.00 article. Sassy and stylish, I think I like it. How about you?

Neigh......

If you want to see amazingness (I know that is not a real word.) saddle up and watch The FEI World Equestrian Games on television this weekend.

I'm in the city with honking horns that are forgotten by the beauty of horses. If I can't be there I'm just glad I can see them from afar.

God forbid that I should go to any Heaven in which there are no horses.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Great Expectations

Darn it! I keep my house clean...not free of dust, but things are usually picked up and everything neatly in it's place. Today of all days, why oh why did my landlord have to ask to come into my apartment just as I stepped out of my car.... It's just days after I got home from being away for over a month and it was mayhem within.....bins stacked in the dining room, dishes in the sink, underwear on the bathroom floor, hormone pills on the kitchen table that looks like birth control to the average eye, why! And, he wasn't alone! The man with him was an inspector. Sigh.
Yesterday was my husband's birthday and part of the agreement for staying home together was NO CLEANING, lucky for me.

Once upon a time, I had to clean the house before going to bed or I would lay there tossing and turning, thinking about what needs to be done. This is taking months of self help books about expectations and flushing it down my dirty toilet.

Good thing for me, the books also helped me with getting over things quickly.(Smile)

Signing off with my sink still full of dirty dishes.

There's No Place Like Home...or my own bed

It's about time, right. Oh how I have missed you so! (Insert Smile.)

My long absence has me weeks behind in the blog world, but bursting full of memories with family and friends. What have I missed? Do tell.

More later...I need coffee before heading out to work.
