Sorry second time posting comment, my son was clicking buttons :)

Hi Ann, thanks again for inviting me over to your blog. Ok I wiped up the tears and I'm ready to throw my hat into the race again ... LOL

Enough about me, oh wait I must go back to me and tell you my favorite Christmas Song. I'm a HUGE Beatles Fan (Thanks Dad) and I love Paul McCartney sing Wonderful Christmastime.

Phew enough about me. How are you? :) Alexis

Oh my...if I could listen to Christmas music all the time I would! (I guess it porbably wouldn't be as special then, huh?!)
Well...to me - nothing says Christmas like Nat King Cole singing "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...jack frost nippin' at your nose..." Although...any Christmas song that Harry Connick Jr. sings makes me fell all Christmasy inside too! ;)

Fun contest! :)
Happy Holidays everyone...I'll be jammin' to Nat and Harry over here!

I'm in, I'm in...who doesn't like to feel a little purdy.

My favorite song...is Silent Night. Something about it always always always makes me nostalgic and a tiny tear forms in the corner of my eye.

Crystal said...

"Oh Holy Night....the stars are brightly shiiiiiiiiining. It is the night of the dear Savior's birth"

I love the power of this song. It starts out so soft and calm....and by the chorus "FALL ON YOUR KNEES....OH HEAR THE ANGELS VOICES...." The strength of the words and the volume of the singing has overtaken your body. No longer are you just a listener to a song with lyrics, suddenly you're a part of something AMAZING!

This song always gets me. I love all the cutesy Christmas songs....but this is THE SONG that touches my heart in remembrance of the true reason for Christmas.

My fave is "Baby, It's Cold Outside." So far off from the childish and cheery Christmas jingles (nothing against them), but I like that this song is a bit different.

Thank you for commenting on my blog earlier. ^_^

As odd as it is, I absolutely love the version of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" that Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel sing in the movie Elf. It's just so sweet!

But if it comes down to an entire album, it's not Christmas to me until I listen to Michael W. Smith's "Christmastime" CD. Fabulous.

Cool contest! I just wanted to thank you for visiting my bog and wishing my hubby well. You're very sweet. :)

And Santa Claus Is Coming To Town by guess who? Oh my gosh, Bruce Springsteen has just been nominated again!

Wow, what a great night for Bruce!

And congratulations to all the winners of the last contest, especially me.

And I do follow you. And I don't need to win this one, I'll be just fine ;)

And I deleted my last comment because I swore a lot in it. Not really, the links I tried to use didn't work. Just Google Bruce Springsteen Christmas and you can see what I am talking about. Move over, Elvis ;)

I LOVE Mary's Boy Child by the barenaked ladies! You did say what shakes your booty??? This song rocks! Download it now, if you don't already have it!

I loved this post. I see a few songs I am going to add to the rotation!

Lianne said...

Okay, I hope I'm not cheating by saying two songs, but I have two big-time, all-time favorites:

1. "We need a little Christmas"--definitely the Johnny Mathis version! I can't sit still when it comes on. I played it about 1,000 times when I was putting up all my Christmas decorations. I played it so much, it got on the nerves of the 8 and 5 year olds. THAT is an accomplishment--and PAYBACK! LOL!

2. "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" by Barenaked Ladies (hey Chic Chauffeur, thanks for reminding me how much I love BNL!) and Sarah McLachlan.--Who would've EVER thought you could dance to that song? I play it when making Christmas goodies.

p.s. I smell really good in Estee' Lauder fragrances. Just so you know. :)

Lianne said...

I am so following you now. Look behind you. See me waving? Hi! :D

I am loving your dancing girl with the snowman!

Wow, 49 comments, that's cool!

It's hard for me to choose a favorite Christmas song because I love so many of them for various reasons, but I really love "A Christmas Lullaby" sung by Amy Grant. I love her Christmas albums (I have 3 of them) and this song gives me chills and is one I can listen to over and over and over again.
