Rabbit Ears and a Maple Leaf

As we pack our bags for Lexington,KY we salute the flag before us here in Canada. It just doesn't feel the same. It's like being invited to a costume party only to find out they changed the theme and you didn't know.

4th of July in the USA.... that's more like it.
Hanging out with family, running around with sparklers until someone burns their finger, eating too much to fit into your bathing suit and dousing yourself in bug spray to watch the local firework display... that's more like it.

Just the same I've got love for ya'll in Canada...
Happy Canada Day everyone!

What are your plans for the 4th?

The kids have taken their families on vacations, so Hubby and I are on our own; we'll have a bbq and enjoy the day.

Nothing big. I have two headed to camp that day and one visiting friends out of town!

Well, I did all that today, with the exception of running around with sparklers. We left that to the kiddies. Enjoy the holiday in Kentucky!

PS~ Loved that scene in Bridget Jones.
