My crafty giveaway.

You asked for it.
Technically you didn't, but I really want to.... What you ask?
I'm going to have an
apron giveaway.
Oh come on be nice. I know I am using "Sewing for Dummies", but I think someone will enjoy it. In reality it is a piece of cloth that is designed to get dirty in order to keep the nice stuff from getting icky.

Here's the fabric...
The finished product will be displayed later...at some point...when it's finished.
Here's what you need to do in order to win this fabulous apron.

Leave a comment answering one of the following questions: Do you sew? Do you wear aprons? Did you make the apron you currently wear? If not, where did you get your apron? (One entry)

If you want extra chances at winning:
Grab my button (one entry)
Follow me (one entry)
Blog about this giveaway (three entries)

Remember every artist has to start somewhere. You never know, you could be the winner of a coveted item from an up in coming Super Star Fashion Icon.... or not. (Smile) This giveaway ends on the 13th of January.

Disclaimer.... I was threatened by sharp needles and nearly strangled to death with thread to do this giveaway. I was forced to make it sound like the best thing ever.

Oh yay!!! I so wanted an apron for Christmas and didn't get one!!!

Yes I sew. My Grandma taught me how one summer (as well as needlework, knitting, crocheting, etc).

I used to sew all my own clothes when I was in my late 20's and early 30's and wasn't working full time. I haven't yet gone back to it since retiring.
I don't own an apron, so I really need to win this. lol

Okay...so, I hafta be honest...I saw your comment on P-Dub's site, and just had to stop by!

She was in MN...and Canada is practically MN right? (Okay, okay...I know Canada stretches the entire length of the US, but I still consider all of Canada to be an extension of MN!!)

Oh, and score for me! You're havin' a giveaway! Okay...so, my answer...I don't sew. I CAN'T sew...I would lose far too much blood if I tried to sew!

So cute! I bet it will turn out great. I do sew, I have made several aprons, yet I gave them all away, so I don't wear one I made! I have several aprons, purchased from cute tea shops, a second hand store, and a kitchen shop. I love them all!

It's funny that you're offering this, since I was just on Etsy looking at aprons!

I sew a little. Nothing fancy. I can make curtains, that's about as fancy as I get.

I just bought my first apron because I was hosting Christmas Eve dinner and I wanted to have a cute apron. I bought it at a specialty kitchen store. It's a super cute retro half hostess apron, but it was $35. I feel I could have made one for less than half that amount!

Thanks for the chance!

I love aprons! No, I don't sew - it's sad, really. I do wear aprons. Mine now is white monogramed with a pink "K" (for Kelly). My mother bought it for me for Mother's Day last year. Thanks for the chance.

Ann said...

Yes I do sew and it is my passion currently. I do wear an apron, it was a gift from my mother in law last year for Christmas. She picked it up at a Shakespearean festival. But it is time to turn it in and start wearing this one you are about to make me. : )

No, I don't sew but wish I could.
Yes, I do wear an apron.
No, I did not make the apron that I'm currently wearing.
I got it as a gift from my sister for my birthday several years ago and it is well worn.

Very pretty fabric choice! Margaret from SITS

I am sewing impaired, even straight lines elude me.

I have several aprons, but usually wear the red one Michelle made for me a couple Christmases ago. I am such a messy baker.

Unknown said...

Thanks for the SITS welcome!! I do sew, though not always that great. It has been quite some time since I've even picked up a pattern, though I do have an apron I made when I was pregnant with my first child!

hahamommy said...

Do you sew? **I am capable, though I've not yet found the perfect project (outside of pillows and altered t-shirts) to get me into the groove... Aprons have been calling me!
Do you wear aprons? **I do! As a baking goddess, I find them imperative!
Did you make the apron you currently wear? If not, where did you get your apron? **I did not. My current favorite, I bought myself for Christmas: big pockets and says reuse, reduce, rethink, renew, recycle. My previous favorite was a gift from my "Fairy God Parent" at last year's unschooling conference.
**Inspire me!!**

"I really need an apron!", I say that every time I cook. I don't sew, I've tried but I couldn't sew a straight line to save my life.

Fun! Can't wait to see the finished product. I've vowed that this next year I will be making all of my Christmas gifts. I do sew but I'm not great, maybe that would be fun to work on though! ;)

It is so pretty! I would love a pretty apron. I actually JUST got a sewing machine, before Christmas. I made a small quilt! That's all I've learned to do. I was just telling a friend of mine that aprons should be fun, so we are learning that next. :) I would love to win your beautiful apron, as an example!
