Sleepless in Quebec City

I have to admit I was sucked into The Bachelor for the last two weeks. I know shame on me for giving valuable time to such, such, such oh you know what I am trying to say. I just finished reading an entire series of encyclopedias, so I had some spare time. In my defense the loser then winner is from my home town. (Is a home town where you spend the majority of your youth or where you were born?) Anyway, I want my 3 hours back. I need a refund! I took this photo because for some reason my t.v. decided I needed subtitles. I was pretty frustrated because I'm completely aware that I my French is absolutely appalling, but I couldn't understand a word....ummmm, that is because they were in SPANISH. Hummmm.

(In case you were wondering, yup...that is a VHS player within the television. We are kicken it old school around here. We also use our Playstation as a DVD player. One of these days we'll get out of the 90's. It took years for the 80's to wear off. I am still choking on Aqua Net.) Photo needed for all my 80's loven peeps.

I am not walking in her shoes, so I shall not throw pebbles (boulders)or emotionally jarring words...if I did however, this would be one of those times that I would be able to hit two birds with one stone and a "what are you thinking" slap to the back of the head. I hope they remain happy.

I'll just put it out there....I also watch American Idol, and I like it (most of the time). Simon cracks me up, the way Paula claps reminds me of an old friend, Randy's "dog" gets on my nerves and Kara seems to fit in just fine. There are some fun and entertaining moments. Just the confidence to get out there and do what they love is admirable.

A side note: Did you know the sunrise is at 6:17, I do because the cute, loving, adorable dog that I am dog sitting decided "we" should get up at 5:00. At 6:17 we were taking a walk. Today she didn't come when I called her, then I realized I was saying the wrong French word. The dog is better at French then me, sigh.

My husband has never missed an episode of AI! Even when he had his triple heart bypass last year, he made sure, by golly, he was coherent for American Idol! lol!

That dog is just so beautiful!

The Bachelor AND AI? Wow, you must be on overload? And I definitely recognize the TV AND the Aqua Net. Were you at my house, circa 1989? That puppy is TOO adorable! BTW, did you get your Pop'rs yet?

I really wish that I had watched the Bachelor because I am totally out of the loop!

I don't watch The Bachelor because it grosses me out that he gets together with multiple girls in the quest to find "the one."

I like American Idol, but have been fast forwarding through quite a bit of it because I only care about what Simon has to say, plus so many of the songs sound awful. I can't take it.

How funny about the dog speaking better French than you!

how much do i LOVE that dog!? and she's growing!!!

the bachelor- how i WISH i'd had cable for that. instead, i have to see snippets on people.com.

those subtitles crack me up. i speak spanish and i was still trying to figure out what it said in french!

don't you hate it when animals know more language than you do?! thankfully they can't rub it in like the little people can. i still remember being the butt of many a 5 year old's jokes in mexico.

That is awesome that the subtitles were in spanish. Awesome. So impressed that you were on a walk at 6am, I barely realize 6am exists as hit the snooze button.

I agree the Bachelor was a big waste of time.
You know I think he thought he was staring in his own soap opera.
