I am thinking about buying some dickie, this winter has taken a toll on my knees....I keep falling. This is a big decision. I think there are huge personal risks, you know like what would people think. I just need some protection, especially these days.
These are a few things that are important:
- Easy to insert or remove.
- Garment pouch envelope. (Interesting, did you know this was an option?)
- Stay in place protecting you when you move.
Now, what color? So far I have only found black. I was leaning towards nude or tan. I hear there are blue ones out there, but they are hard to find. Speaking of hard, it is important to find ones that are hard yet flexible. Wow, I had no idea this would be so much work.
So, so many decisions....... I really do need your help. Please CLICK HERE. I know it is a little personal, but I feel like we are now friends, good friends.
Thanks!

i had to laugh, cause i was unawares of what dickies were! i thought they were turtleneck type shirts that weren't really a full shirt! But girl, I say go with black! everything is better in black! and i sooo don't miss living in a snowy climate!
You got me too! I had no idea what they were. Black is so masculine. I'd go with a different color. Do they make purple?
*giggle*
I was SO with Lori on this one. I was like, "what the?!?" LOL
I'd go with a neutral!
I was definitely playing with words... Hee! Hee! Hee! While looking for knee pads I came across this ad and my mind went, well somewhere silly.
It all started with yet another fall on the ice today....I think that is number 11 this season.
I thought a dickie was a fake turtle neck so I was clueless, I'm glad you had a link to the knee pads.
First off, I want to tell you I'm right there with you. I am very aware of what Dickies are, having both kneepads and pants (I worked in a scene shop for 4 years...lots of knee-work). And being a proud owner of said Dickies, I would tell you to go ahead and get them! And black is really the only way to go. ;)
"Tired of having sore knees,I decided to invest in my own dickie. I tried one on and was thrilled with how good it felt! On the bus ride home, I couldn't resist playing with my dickie, I'd move it to the left a bit, then to the right, looking for that one position that I would benefit from most. Now, when I find myself on my knees, I look down at my new black dickie and smile......:)"
Priceless Ann, just hilarious!
I am with Lori - I had never heard of a dickie being a knee pad - I thought it was a mock turtleneck.
Hmmm, what an interesting thing. I guess if you need them - get them
I can't believe the word "dickie" has yet another meaning! LOL Thanks for educating us and stay safe out there. :)
LOL! I had a really "hard" time keeping my mind out of the gutter here! Bwahahahahaha!
I say get a variety!
