Wordless Wednesday...except for the moaning

I was not in the right frame of mind when my husband suggested doing a fitness routine together. I was not in the right frame of mind when I put the disc in all by myself and decided to willingly participate in this random act of self torture yesterday afternoon.
Another new item of physical decor...the pull up bar. (No, I can not do one.)

Outcome~

Dear Husband,

I am sorry to inform you that your wife is laying on the dinning room floor crippled in pain. She may need medical attention and a lawyer to sue P90X. Note: Dinning rooms are for eating not working out. It is evil to look at the table (where food should be) while working out. Witness the transformation...that's my table.

Update:

Swift medical attention has been taken. If you need your wife she will most likely be in a backless hospital gown with her flabby (very white) butt sticking out the back. Just listen closely for the moaning noise and you will find her.

Sincerely in pain,
Your Wife

Note to self: When you start the disc and it says, "This is the Mother of all Workouts" you are being fairly warned and you are not to take this lightly ever again.

Yeah, I don't think I'd be able to handle The Mother of All Layouts, either!

I love it! It's nice to giggle when you feel like crap (sore throat and was up all night)!

Pull-ups are hard to do - hope you are okay!!!!

My husband wants us to do this together too! I'm glad I've delayed to the point of "Never gonna happen!".

Oh I hope you feel better! Just run around the house before your hubs gets home and when he asks why you're all sweaty tell him you've been exercising all day! lol

UGH - We have one of those stupid pullup bars too. I hate it and can't even do one. Pitiful me.

I have the P90X workout discs ready to start. I'm very nervous now. Though I need to get into bikini wearing shape.

Keep me updated on how it goes for you!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

ugh! Feel better. I would be living in a warm tub with Epsom salt if I were you.

Oh no. Start slow... Or just burn all the exercise equipment.

Pull-up bars are meant to humiliate...and to tone muscles but mostly humiliate. I say you have a big yard sale and accidentally put all the work out gear out. Whoops! Don't know how that happened :)

that is so funny!! you must have been temporarily out of your mind when you agreed to that....the bar even LOOKS torturous!!

Thanks for stopping by my post!!

I would run screaming from the room if I heard the mother of all workouts blaring from my tv! lol!

You poor thing! I am so short I would need a ladder just to reach the pull-up bar! hee hee hee!

Love, love, love your blog! Thanks for finding me so I could find you!

i laughed so hard, ann. sorry. :) i can empathize with the soreness...and the only reason there is NOT workout stuff all over our house is that shane has his own clinic for that crap (oh- and then we don't own a tv...).

good luck!!!

I hate feeling super sore after a first workout, so I try to keep those to a minimum...ha.

That workout routine is only made for those who are so fit they don't even need it. I hope you're alright!

No, no, no. You aren't actually supposed to DO it. What were you thinking? The whole point is to watch while the trainer looks ridiculous and laugh because you are no such thing.

My so called "BIL" (that's another story) got the p90x and toar his knee and has to have surgery now. He can't walk or go to work. I've heard it was a hard work out.

The dreaded pull-up bar. . .still gives me nightmares from having to do them for field day in elementary school! Hope your dining room is back to normal again!

I've been trying to spread the word that exercise is bad for you. It is an evil to be avoided at all costs! Hope you are feeling better.

Thank you for the giggle this morning! So you are feeling my pain...
I walked past my treadmill this morning and called it a very unkind name...I then walked into my kitchen and saw the soft pillowy loaf of bread sitting on my counter and had to wipe away a tear. This healthy stuff sucks!

We can do it though!!!! I'm cheering for you!!!!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I I'm so happy to meet you and look forward to reading all your entries!

Ooooh, does that bar come down? I'd be smacking my head on it...and as for a pull up, I can't do one either...and to think I got the President's Fitness Award from grades 5-12...and could do 10 full pull ups!

My friend was doing this program and it sounded horrific. She was keeping at it though, until a family emergency screwed her schedule about a month in. I admire the dedication though if you can make it happen. Me, I'm a wuss.glypessa
